My name is Patrick Shrier and I am retired from the military after 23 years\u00a0in the US Army. I was a 19D4XP5 Armored Cavalry Scout by Military Occupational Specialty (MOS). \u00a0I am currently \u00a0plan on opening my own business, writing books, and getting filthy rich. (I can dream can’t I) \ud83d\ude42 \u00a0I am married with one son, who is eighteen, and my wife is German. I have spent a total of 13 years in Europe and have dragged my family along to as many battlefields as I could. \u00a0My main interest is Prussian History from the 16th\u00a0Century to 1918 with particular emphasis on the Wars of German Unification and World War I.<\/p>\n

I completed my BA in World Military History in June of 2007 and an MA in European History in May 2011. I also hold a BAS in Information Technology (2012) and a MA in International Relations f(2018).<\/p>\n

I am a member of the\u00a0Society for Military History<\/a>, Life Member of the\u00a0Veterans of Foreign Wars of the US<\/a>, Life member of the\u00a0Society of the First Infantry Division<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I have been a lifelong history fanatic and my wife tells me I am a geek. I travel quite often with family and they are now used to me dragging them to at least one battlefield or historical site per vacation.<\/p>\n

Andrew Levine is an American Engineer living in Central Europe. When he is not spending time with family, he is trekking in the Tatra mountains, or investigating medieval history, particularly that of the Baltic region.
