I recently visited the grave of Richard Wagner behind the Wagner Museum in Bayreuth, Germany and thought I would share the\u00c2\u00a0photos\u00c2\u00a0I took while there. \u00c2\u00a0The grave\u00c2\u00a0itself\u00c2\u00a0is not very remarkable and the\u00c2\u00a0only\u00c2\u00a0way you know it is is his is because there are signs pointing to it. \u00c2\u00a0There is no marking on the grave itself saying it is where Wagner and his wife are buried. \u00c2\u00a0There is an outstanding site with a wealth of information on the composer at the Richard Wagner Archive<\/a>.<\/p>\n

His dogs grave, it is about 5 feet from his. The dog accompanies him even in death.<\/p><\/div>\n

The gravestone for the dog says Here rests and\u00c2\u00a0guards\u00c2\u00a0Wagner’s Russ<\/em>. \u00c2\u00a0Russ was the name of his dog.<\/p>\n
